Who We Are...
Our mission at The Phoenix Academy is to provide individualized education that addresses students’ unique learning styles, cultivates independent thought, and promotes the building of character, equipping them to contribute to their communities in meaningful and positive ways. The Phoenix Academy not only serves the academic and emotional needs of our students, but we also offer several opportunities to learn valuable life skills for future employment.
The Phoenix Academy was developed in 1993 to provide an exceptional educational opportunity for at-risk youth. Previously known as the Clark Bourbon Day Treatment Facility, the Clark County Public School System now operates the program in cooperation with the Department of Juvenile Justice and the Kentucky Educational Collaborative for State Agency Children.
